The Handful of Dollars (By the un pugno di dollari inside Italy, and officially in-screen in the U.S. when just Handful of Dollars) occurs as 1964 film directed by Sergio Leone and starring Clint Eastwood. Discharged in the United States in 1966, it initiated the popularity of the Spaghetti western film genre. It was followed by For a Few Dollars More and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, also starring Clint Eastwood. Together, a films come referred to as "The Dollar(s) Trilogy" or even "The Man with No Name trilogy".

Plot

A plot of the film involves Eastwood when a gunman (ab initio credited as "Joe" however nowadays known always when "The Man with No Name") who arrives around a village on the frontier & plays the town's ii rival factions, the Rojos & a Baxters, against each more sequentially to produce money off both sides & save a personal caught in the crossfire.

Although a film wwhen advertised within trailers as "the first film of its kind", a plot & possibly a filming was depending all but completely in Akira Kurosawa's film Yojimbo. Yojimbo itself is believed by a select few to use at times been according to Dashiell Hammett's novel Red Harvest, although Kurosawa never acknowledged such an inspiration. The producers of Yojimbo with success sued a production of A Handful of Dollars for copyright infringement, & gained an apology, and $100,000 dollars and 15% of the pack professional numbers to the picture within compensation. Kurosawa late admitted he quite liked The Handful of Dollars.

Stephen King has credited a trilogy by using inspiring the atmosphere of his novel The Gunslinger.

Quentin Tarantino holds this when a greatest film ever, & claims it as one of his large inspirations in the globe of motion pictures.
